Just a stone's throw from the
center of
Vittorio Veneto, a city with 30,000 inhabitants
in the
Province of Treviso, we find a 110,000 m2 green
area: the
Gaia Park.
This park hosts three soccer fields, one regulation field
(105 x 65 m), one smaller field, again
regulation size,
and another regulation sized for mini-soccer to be made of
synthetic turf.
The fields have
locker-rooms with connected
showers
and
bathroom facilities, even for the
referees.
There is also an area set aside for the infirmary and massage.
A
bar with terrace is found adjacent to the soccer fields.
The remainder of the area has been used to create a
40,000
m2 golf course complete with
Pitch and Putt course,
driving range and a warm,
cozy club house.
In particular, the practice course has a
driving range,
pitching green,
putting green,
9-hole Pitch
& Putt course the length of which complies with
federal
regulations.
At the outskirts of the park, an old rural building will be
renovated and in 2006 will be converted to a
3-star hotel
that can sleep 56 with a dining room that can seat 150/200
people, a bar to serve the hotel and an 80-90 seat conference
room.
The same facility will also house the
Milan Point and
Golf Corner as well as a
golf club house.
